Currently, I'm a sophomore attending Cornell University as a student in their College of Arts & Sciences. I’m an Information Science major planning to concentrate in Data Science and User Experience with intentions to minor in Law & Society as well!
My journey with design comes in two stages. During my elementary school days, I used to carry around a Doodle Journal where I would sketch out comics of my friends and I as superheroes fighting against crime. While I wasn’t a fantastic visual artist, all that mattered to me was to see how excited they would get when I came out with a new edition of the comic series. It was then that I understood the importance of design as it relates to meaning and user experience.
Now in college, I’ve decided to continue with the path of creating meaningful designs aimed at providing the optimal user experience for its intended audiences. My favorite part of the product life cycle has to be user interviews and user testing. There’s no better than getting to know about peoples’ experiences with products and using their insights to materialize an optimal product. As a bonus, you get to learn some really cool facts about people along the way!
